Casino games can be a fun and enjoyable way to spend your extra time. The great thing about casino games is that now you can play in a land casino or online
the choice is yours. Many people love going to land casinos from time to time for the experience
but more and more people are turning to online casinos to join in on the fun.

There are many different choices in games and formats. For example
some casinos allow you to play and gamble right on their website for the fun. However
other online casinos require a software download that synchronizes with the website to account for your wins
losses
and credits.

There are many online casino games to choose from. For example
you can play Incredible Hulk Slots. Online slots are very similar to casino slots
however
the biggest difference is the way you play. Instead of dropping the coin in the slots and pulling the lever
you determine digitally how much you will bet and then push a button with your mouse to get the reels rolling.

You can also play online blackjack
perhaps one of the most popular casino games in existence. Again
it is very similar to land based casino type of play
only it is done digitally and on a computer. In some cases
many people prefer online casino games over land based casinos because of the lack of noise
crowds
and inconvenience that many players might feel.

Video poker is also extremely popular when it comes to online casino games. These types of games allow you to play the poker games you love
without having to set foot outside of your home. Sitting in your own chair
with access to your own refrigerator
and perhaps even in the comfort of your pajamas
you can play the poker games you enjoy most.

Roulette is another popular online casino game. It is just as popular online as it is offline perhaps even more so. Online casino games generally make things easier to understand. For instance
they will have the rules right there available to you with just a click of the mouse button. Some sites even offer many articles on the different types of casino games
which are filled with strategies
rules
and history of the game for you history buffs.

There are just so many choices in casino games online that you may have troubles picking just one
you can try your hand at craps
Texas Hold’em poker
seven card stud
five card stud
blackjack
slots machines
and so much more without having to get into the car
waste gas
drive to the casino
pay for parking
buy the drinks
and tip the server at the same time.

Now you can see why many people are turning to online casino games for their gambling fun. They are convenient
colorful
appealing
and so much fun to play. Why not give online casino games a try next time you find yourself bored
with nothing to do.

How to Beat the House at Roulette
12 May 2012 | By: Seth Shafer Physicist J. Doyne Farmer made waves more than 30 wears ago when as a graduate student he devised a portable, wearable computer that would tilt the roulette odds firmly in the player’s favor — although technological limitations at the time limited the wins he was able to book at a Nevada casino. Farmer devoted several years in the late 1970s developing a physics-based approach to beating roulette, which measured and analyzed several factors as the roulette ball rolled around the edge of the rim and fell before bouncing around and finally settling on a number. Farmer discovered that the first part of that equation — how the ball rolled around the rim of the wheel and fell — could be predicted with some accuracy, giving a significant edge in predicting what general range of numbers the ball might settle into after chaotically bouncing around during the second part of the equation, which is otherwise almost impossible to predict on its own. Farmer’s decision to speak out after all the years was spurred on by a paper published about very similar research from Michael Small from the University of Western Australia in Perth and Michael Tse from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, which was recently submitted to the journal Chaos. Small and Tse used a very similar approach to Farmer’s and calculated that a player armed with the system and a small computer or smartphone could gain as much as a 18% edge over the house — significant enough to lead to very large profits if successfully implemented. Before gamblers rejoice too much, casinos aren’t exactly helpless to the approach, as the amount of time the roulette ball is allowed to spin before falling can be changed and using even a small and hidden computer for the necessary calculations isn’t exactly the subtlest of approaches.

Sands Opens Newest Casino in Macau
13 April 2012 | By: Seth Shafer Sheldon Adelson has opened yet another casino in Macau via his Sands China subsidiary, with the new $4.4 billion Sands Cotai Central casino opening its doors to become the 35th casino in Macau. Macau is now by far the world’s largest gambling market — surpassing Las Vegas back in 2006 — and the Sands Cotai Central is not just the latest Macau casino to open but will be the newest arrival for quite some time, as government approval and construction time means that it will be a least 2015 before a newer casino is opened in Macau. Macau’s growth as a gambling center has been meteoric, with revenue growth of 27% in the first three months of 2012 that followed up an amazing surge of 42% growth in 2011; Macau’s gambling haul of $33.5 billion in 2011 was more than five times the amount earned by Las Vegas Strip casinos. China continues to fuel the gambling boom in Macau, with high stakes baccarat players flocking to the area now that a nearby gambling alternative is open to them, instead of being forced to make a long trip to Vegas or other gambling centers as was the case in the past. Sands’ rivals in Macau (which include other Las Vegas-based gambling giants such as Wynn Resorts and MGM Resorts International) are also waiting for government approval for projects they’re planning for the Cotai Strip. All three companies may be based in Vegas but an outsized portion of their revenues and profits now come from their operations in Macau, Singapore, and other international markets. Sands’ newest casino in Macau is expected to benefit from Sands is expected to benefit from growing numbers of tourists in Macau drawn to shopping and other non-gambling attractions at Cotai’s resorts, with new transportation links making it easier to travel across from mainland China. The opening of the casino had been delayed several times, with the global recession and credit crunch halting the project several times as well as delays related to government restrictions on the amount of foreign workers that could be used during construction.

Top 5 Gambling Apps for the iPad
4 April 2012 | By: Seth Shafer iPad owners who enjoy gambling games now have plenty of options to choose from with hundreds of different apps available for popular casino games such as slots, blackjack, craps, and Texas Hold’em poker. Game developers were quick to capitalize on the fact that millions of people around the world enjoy gambling games, with Apple’s Texas Hold’em game one of the very first apps released for the iPhone when it made its debut. While the vast majority of gambling apps for the iPad only let you compete for play chips — especially if you live in the US or another country with anti online gambling laws on the books — a few do let you play for real money depending on the country you live in. Zynga Poker:Zynga is better known for its games such as Farmville and Words with Friends but its Zynga Poker game has more than 30 million active players around the world that log in to play at ring games and tournaments. You’ll just be battling it out for play chips but it’s quick and easy to join a game any time of the day or night and easy to set up games between family and friends. Slingo:Slingo is a fast-paced hybrid of slots and bingo (hence the name) which lets fans of those games enjoy the best of both worlds with a wide range of puzzles and game types to choose from. Blackjack HD:Blackjack fans can quickly jump into playing a few hands of their favorite game with the Blackjack HD app, while newcomers to the game can benefit from learning the rules — although don’t expect to become a card counting wizard just from playing the game. Reel Deal Slots:Reel Deel Slots has been a favorite with PC gamers for years and they’ve brought that same fun and excitement to the iPad with their Reel Deal Slots app which offers tons of different slots games and tournament excitement to enjoy. bwin.com Poker: bwin is one of the few major online gambling sites to get a real-money app approved for distribution in iTunes, letting customers of bwin in selected countries can compete for real money at Texas Hold’em cash games, More Casino News 13 April 2012 Sheldon Adelson has opened yet another casino in Macau via his Sands China subsidiary, with the new $4.4 billion Sands Cotai Central casino opening it Read More 08 April 2012 UFC star Georges St-Pierre is set to tackle another sport as he rehabs an injury, signing with 888 as a brand ambassador in a deal that will see him t Read More 02 April 2012 Momentum continues to grow in the US for legalized online gambling, with states such as California, Nevada, and New Jersey at the forefront of efforts Read More 30 March 2012 Despite facing several headwinds the gambling boom in Macau shows no signs of slowing, with business booming in March and a record for gambling revenu Read More 28 March 2012 Most gambling fans have tried their hand at popular games like blackjack, craps, and roulette but there are also plenty of other unique and interestin Read More 27 March 2012 If Las Vegas gambling mogul Sheldon Adelson has his way Spain might be the next country to see huge Vegas-style resorts and casinos being built, with Read More

Macau Still Booming
30 March 2012 | By: Seth Shafer Despite facing several headwinds the gambling boom in Macau shows no signs of slowing, with business booming in March and a record for gambling revenues within reach for the former Portugese colony that is now by far the world’s top gambling destination by revenue. Early results for the first half of March showed revenues up 40% over the prior year, which would put March on pace to break the all-time record $3.35 billion that was wagered in Macau in October 2011. As far as market share, casinos operated by Stanley Ho’s SJM Holdings held about 28% of the Macau market, with Las Vegas Sands and Galaxy Macau both at 18%, and Wynn Macau (13%), Melco Crown (12%), and MGM China (11%) rounding out the rest of the pack. Macau has become an increasingly important source of revenues and profits for Las Vegas Sands, Wynn, and MGM, with results there now dwarfing the revenue taking in by their operations in Las Vegas (which traditionally was the primary focus for the Las Vegas-based gambling giants). Gambling revenues continue to grow in Macau despite the efforts of China to clamp down on junket operators that extend credit to high roller gamblers in Macau — primarily baccarat players — as well as a very public spat between Steve Wynn and former business partner Kazuo Okada centering on the possibility of bribes being paid to establish their operations in Macau. Macau’s success story is being emulated in other markets in Asia as well, with Singapore poised to also pass Las Vegas based on total gambling revenues per year — and with just two casinos currently operating in Singapore as opposed to the dozens that call Las Vegas home. Macau’s record growth likely won’t continue as some of the gambling appetite in Asia is sated but all signs point to the region solidly remaining the world’s top gambling destination based on revenue for decades to come, with its proximity to China guaranteeing a torrent of gambling dollars to continue to stream into Macau.

UFC Star Georges St-Pierre Joins 888
8 April 2012 | By: Seth Shafer UFC star Georges St-Pierre is set to tackle another sport as he rehabs an injury, signing with 888 as a brand ambassador in a deal that will see him take to the poker tables for the upcoming World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. St-Pierre released the following statement about the deal, which will also help raise money for the anti-bullying foundation that he has started: “I am very excited to become a global brand ambassador for Team 888poker. I have wanted to play poker for a while now as it is a great game of skill. It is not just your cards versus my cards; it is you versus your opponent. However, the most important aspect of my partnership with 888poker is that we are going to generate a great deal of money for my foundation that dedicates its efforts towards anti-bullying causes.” Georges St-Pierreis recovering from knee surgery and has been out of action in the octagon since he defeated Jake Shields in 2011. While a fight with UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit upon his return, GSP will have his hands full at the poker tables until then as he looks to become the first UFC star to deliver a knockout at the felt at the WSOP.

Momentum Grows for Online Gambling in the US
2 April 2012 | By: Seth Shafer Several US states are taking a hard look at legalizing online poker and casino sites for residents, with the primary lure being the possibility of propping up sagging state budgets with millions of dollars in new tax revenues. In 2011 the District of Columbia became the first area to pass legislation that could allow it to offer online casino and poker sites to residents; delays and questions have plagued the initiative, however, with the possibility that the entire endeavor may be scrapped before ever seeing the light of day. That hasn’t stopped legislators in Ney Jersey, California, and Nevada from pursuing very similar legislation, with a recent ruling by the US Department of Justice clarifying the scope of the Wire Act to apply only to sportsbetting — and not to other activites such as online poker or online lotto ticket sales — adding more fuel to the fire. With many US states still struggling with high unemployment and dipping property values, a pitch for online gambling is much more receptive to voters’ ears than in the past. The same greater receptivity to gambling in general has seen states such as Massachusetts vote to add brick-and-mortar casinos for the very first time, while several other states have dramatically expanded their gambling options. As far as the potential money at stake from legalizing online gambling in the US, estimates vary widely depending on which side of the debate you fall on. Industry groups and pro-gambling lobbyists peg the potential tax revenues as high as $10 billion per year for the US gambling market, but studies that individual states have done have produced much smaller figures, with the state of Iowa releasing a study that shows it could collect around $5-$15 million a year while California projects it could make as much as $250 million.

Top 5 Unusual Casino Games to Try
28 March 2012 | By: Seth Shafer Most gambling fans have tried their hand at popular games like blackjack, craps, and roulette but there are also plenty of other unique and interesting casino games that you might give a whirl for a change of pace at both online casinos as well as at brick-and-mortar casinos. Below we’ll look at a few games that you may not have yet given a spin, including some that actually have quite good odds for players and are definitely worth checking out. Pai Gow: Pai Gow is based on poker and uses the same basic hand rankings, with players dealt seven cards and competing against the dealer, who also gets seven cards. the goal is to make two different poker hands, one with five cards and the other with two cards. If both hands of the player beat the dealer, then the player wins whatever they initially bet before the cards were dealt. If both hands lose, the house wins and the player loses their bet. If one wins and one loses, it’s a push and no mmoney changes hand. Pushes are very common at Pai Gow, which makes it popular with some players who are looking to get the most enjoyment out of their gambling dollars — and lots of free drinks from the cocktail waitresses! You can play pai gow online as well as at many casinos in Vegas and other larger gambling destinations. Sic Bo: Sic bo is a dice game that’s much more popular in Asian casinos in Macau and Singapore but can also be found in larger Vegas casinos as well as online. Similar to craps but with three dice rolled instead of two, you’ll be betting on different combinations that are rolled such as “Big” (the total of the three dice between 11-17), “Small” (a total between 4 and 10) and odd or even as well as other specific totals. War: If you played the card game War as a kid, yes, indeed, you can actually now gamble on it at casinos in Las Vegas and around the world. Just place your bet and you’ll battle it out with the delaer to see who is dealt the higher card; top the dealer and you win your bet. Chuck-a-luck: You’ll apparently have to travel all the way to Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut to play this one, but chuck-a-luck is a dice game played with three dice tumbled in a cage. Bettors place wagers on how the dice will land, plunking down bets on numbered squares and winning according to how many times that number is rolled when the dice land. Money Wheel/Big Wheel: If you like to keep your gambling simple, money wheel might be the game for you, as you simply bet on what portion of a big spinning wheel you think the pointer at the top of the wheel will land on after the spin is done.

Sin City to Come to Spain?
27 March 2012 | By: Seth Shafer If Las Vegas gambling mogul Sheldon Adelson has his way Spain might be the next country to see huge Vegas-style resorts and casinos being built, with plans to build a huge $22 billion gambling mecca in Madrid or Barcelona. Both cities are vying for the right to host Adelson’s planned “Eurovegas” project, which would include six casinos and 12 hotels with over 36,000 rooms as well as numerous shops, bars, restaurants, and conference centers. Adelson (who operates casino giant Las Vegas Sands) will decide later in 2012 which city to build in assuming the deal is given the green light by Spanish authorities, which isn’t a guarantee as concerns have been raised about the massive scope of the project as well as concessions Adelson is demanding such as smoking being permitted in the casinos and no building limitations on the size and scope of the planned project. Adelson has had plenty of success breaking ground in new markets, with Las Vegas Sands’ operations in Macau and Singapore now bringing in the bulk of the company’s revenues and profits. Las Vegas Sands passed Caesars last year as the world’s largest gaming corporation, posting profits of $1.3 billion in 2011. Spain is one of the world’s top gambling markets with the majority of its citizens taking part in lotto, sportsbetting, and other types of gambling each year but casinos in Spain remain a relatively smaller and more sedate affair, without the huge, sprawling resort-style casinos and hotels seen in Las Vegas, Macau, and other locations. While the Spanish government has been resistant in the past to approving projects such as the one planned by Adelson the severe economic crisis has led many to believe that this time might be different. Unemployment in Spain remains above 20% and the economy is projected to shrink another 1.7% in 2012. Adding large casinos such as the “Eurovegas” project would not only provide an injection of new construction jobs but also tens of thousands of permanent jobs as well once the complex was constructed, with potentially billions in additional tax revenues collected from the millions of tourists that visit Spain each year from around the world.
